When I’m in New York – or any city I don’t live in for that matter – I will always wonder what type of people live in each area, and where I’d fit in or like to live if I was moving. These infographics used to advertise a new room-mate-finding app from Apartment List showing ‘typical’ residents in NY’s neighbourhoods make me laugh. As well as the funny descriptions of the types of people you’re likely to find in each area, they also provide some useful information, such as the average cost of renting an apartment across the city.
Where do you live? Do you fit your ‘stereotype’? I’d move to the West Village in a flash, but realistically, am more likely to be able to afford the East Village so I’ll just have to learn to play bass…
